The solution will provide technology to equip the police force to access automated information that travels much faster which will help the police force of to act in a more efficient way. The control room consists of the state-of-the-art multimedia contact centre and can also track all PCR vans fitted with GPS devices (Global Positioning System) and coordinate their movement to help public.

    • Helps in round the clock availability, proper dissemination of information, connectivity to mobile PCR vans, immediate response to a call and online link with emergency services
    • The system promotes logical distribution of calls with improved communication links available to the citizens
  • It allows the police department to escalate calls to the PCR van network for ‘crime in progress’ situations

Mr. A. K. Singh, SSP Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh said “This initiative has been taken for the helping the citizens. With advanced technology, the response time of police for the call of service will be improved and more than 70 PCRs will be present for DIAL 100 service.”

The Dial 100 solution contains Calling Line Identification (CLI) and Direct Inward Dialing (DID) to help in identification and routing. It also provides connectivity to mobile PCR vans through two-way
radios/ GPRS. It will help in round-the-clock availability, proper dissemination of information, immediate responses to calls, online links with emergency services and, in turn, increased the efficiency of the organization.

 

Apart from this, Dial 100 allows the citizens to avail emergency services such as hospitals, fire-stations etc.. It will help to reduce the number of hoax calls police department gets and provide connectivity to the missing persons and vehicles databases. It also provides customized reporting of call center performances. The citizens can also dial 0120-2525100 and 0120-2350100 incase of exigencies, which will be diverted towards Dial 100 Police Contropl Centre.

 

The solution has been successfully rolled out in 22 cities across India; this includes metros such as New Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
